Book Launching : April 5, 2006. A book launching entitled "Ghost of the Insurrection" is a novel written by Dr. Wilmo Orejola who is a Samarnon. The novel is based on a historic event in the Philippines, the Battle of Balangiga. Dr. Orejola answered questions and signed copies of his book during the event. Portion of the proceeds of the sale of the book is being donated to the anti-poverty programs of Building Futures Together, Inc. Such portion is tax deductable to the full extent allowed bu the law.

Book Packing : Building Futures Together Inc. is a not for profit organization that donate books to Samar, Philippines and distributes them to the libraries in different areas. Building Futures Together is an IRS recognized 501© (3) charitable organization devoted entirely to fighting poverty in the Philippines through wealth building and livelihood programs. The website is : http://www.buildingfuturestogether.org/ The photos shown are volunteers (which of course I am part of) working 2 separate days of repacking and organizing donated books from individuals and schools which will be shipped in a shipping container.
